The redesign gave the paper a fresh look with a new grid allowing for a modular design with more white space, updated typography and story structure as well as a new, more contemporary palette. The design also included Le D, a new Tab section for Culture on the weekends. Lire, a book review supplement, was designed as an insert for Le D.
My role is this project was to design and produce the prototypes with, as well as under the art direction of, Lucie Lacava. I wrote and produced the style guide for the redesign. Lucie and I both designed fronts for LeD and Lire for the first year following the redesign.
