The Straits Times is an english-language daily newspaper.

We first redesigned The Straits Times at Lacava Design in 2015, and in 2020 we updated the design with a fresh new palette and a more flexible grid and a refining of the the original elegant typography.
The impetus for the original redesign was to bring all of the digital apps, the website and print edition in sync. We introduced modular design, and also much needed white space. Print, web and apps use the same fonts and colour palette, creating a unified brand.
My role is this project was to design and produce the prototypes with, as well as under the art direction of, Lucie Lacava. I wrote and produced the style guides for both redesigns.
